After first becoming popular in Japan, other countries like the US and Australia are jumping on the Konjac facial sponge train and it’s easy to see why. Let’s take a closer look at just what these sponges are, and how they help you have amazing skin!
What are they?
The Andalou Naturals It’s Ok to be Sensitive Konjac Facial Sponge Duo pack includes two exfoliating and cleansing facial sponges, made from all-natural fibre. Each sponge has a different ingredient to get your skin looking great while being suitable for sensitive skin.
The round sponge has pomegranate extract to help with cell regeneration, elasticity and collagen production. It also strengthens skin cells. Perfect for facial skin!
The heart-shaped sponge has rosehip extract, which is so nourishing and soothing and full of antioxidants, vitamins, and essential fatty acids.
What do these sponges do?
This Konjac Sponge duo pack is suitable for delicate skin, and all skin types, thanks to how soft they are. They gently exfoliate and cleanse your skin, removing dry skin to reveal a brighter complexion. You’ll notice your pores appear refined and softened, and your skin feels smooth and soft, with a natural glow.
How do I use them?
Konjac Facial Sponges are so simple to use! To soften and plump the sponge, soak it in warm water for 3-5 minutes. Gently squeeze to get rid of the excess water, then massage gently over your neck and face in a circular motion.
You can use the sponges alone or with a cleanser, and most people find they don’t need a cleanser because the results from using the sponges alone are that fantastic.
Once you’re done, rinse the sponge and squeeze out any excess water again, then place the sponge in a well-ventilated area to completely dry. When you look after your sponge properly, each one will last up to 3 months.
The Andalou Naturals Konjac Facial Sponge Duo pack in ‘It’s OK to be Sensitive’ is one of our favourite natural skincare products. Andalou Naturals’ products use fruit stem cell science, and are gluten-free, Vegan, cruelty-free, Non-GMO, and made from 100% all-natural fibers. Once your facial sponges are at the end of their life, you can simply place them in your compost, or recycle them, and not have to worry that they’ll outlive you in the environment!
